The Covid Pandemic and resulting industry changes have made us change and adapt in our practice and service to you.   What should You Expect From our firm during Income Tax Processing:

Processes and Communication:

ONBOARDING:

We invite and ask you to contact our offices to be onboarded by our staff:

  • We will need your contact information,
  • We will set your private secure client portal and communication module,
  • We will address and direct your questions (if needed) for appropriate resolution.

Do not contact Todd privately, as all onboarding is completed by our professional staff and you will only be frustrated with lengthier time to address your concerns. As stipulated by professional regulations, we do not support the onboarding or submission of sensitive tax information by non-secured email.

ENGAGEMENT LETTER:

As mandated by the Code of Professional Regulations, your onboarding starts with the completion and signing of an engagement letter. We can not work with you until the engagement letter is signed and exchanged.

DATA & EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION:

The preferred method of exchange is via our client communication module. Both you and our office are notified via and alert message each time one of us completes or adds something via the communication module.

If you step outside of this method, we need you to make sure you

  • Mail documents via certified or some other means of secure mail,
  • Preferably call first to drop off documents
  • Or use the secured drop box slot in Charleston.

PROCESSING AND REVIEW:

  • The office administration will save your documents and information into our secure system.
  • Todd will process your tax documents and we will contact you with any questions.
  • We will then set a virtual appointment with you to review and discuss your return with you.

Todd’s time as principal owner and provider is normally fully scheduled up to ten days out, but we strive to get you scheduled to be in contact with Todd as soon as possible. Our expected turnaround time to completion is 1 week AFTER onboarding and scheduling of work from our administrative personnel.

APPOINTMENTS:

Our client contact with Todd is remote by Virtual Appointment for both the ability to provide timely service and the health and safety of employees and our clients.  The Covid, Flu and SRS Virus continue to affect our business practices.  Until we went remote in January of 2022, we were exposed multiple times over the last 2 years which caused significant delays.  This filing period is far too tight and heavily demanded to risk significant sick time lost.

Todd does occasionally meet with face to face with Clients as scheduled in advance during the Non Peak Filing Season of May through November.

COMPLETION AND E-FILING:

Signed Forms must be completed and returned to us by

  • e-Signature in our communication module

  • certified mail

  • drop off and or pick up

  • we prefer not to use secure or password protected email for everyone’s safety.

  • Payment must be authorized and provided by ACH Debit or Credit Card 

**NOTE: In this newly enhanced electronic industry, we are NOT ALLOWED to e-file returns any longer without signed forms and payment for our services.
